ACT Advisors® Community Award

At ACT Advisors® we believe in supporting our neighbors to create the kind of community that we’re proud to be a part of. That’s why we established the ACT Advisors® Community Award. Our charity giving plan has two components, international and local communities where we believe our donation can make a high impact.

Each year, we’ll award select local charities with the ACT Advisors® Community Award. Internationally, each time we reach our target growth amount, we will partner with Charity Water to donate a well to give access to water to those who need it most.

Recent Recipients

The recipients will receive a $2,500 donation.

Manna Food Bank

MANNA FoodBank is a private, not-for-profit service organization, that links the food industry with over 200 partner agencies in 16 counties of Western North Carolina. MANNA is an acronym and stands for Mountain Area Nutritional Needs Alliance. Since the Great Recession of 2008, MANNA has increased food distribution by over 200% due to this increased need, and that trend continues even now. Learn more at https://www.mannafoodbank.org/.

Lowcountry Food Bank

The Lowcountry Food Bank (LCFB) helps fight hunger by distributing food to nearly 300 partner agencies including soup kitchens, homeless shelters and emergency food pantries. In 2019, LCFB distributed 32.1 million pounds of food, including 9.7 million pounds of produce. LCFB provided over 26,374,000 meals in 2019. Learn more at https://www.lowcountryfoodbank.org/

ACT Advisors® Global Growth Impact Award​

International Charity Partner: Charity Water Charity: water is a non-profit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing countries. 100% of our donation will go to the charitable water project as they do not charge any operating costs.

Over the next 21 months, our $10,000 donation will get an entire village clean water, helping approximately 500 people!

There’s lots of water in Cambodia, but it isn’t safe to drink. So, we’re funding solutions to make dirty water clean. We’re helping families build BioSand Filters (BSFs), which kill 99% of bacteria. BSFs are simple, low-cost, slow-sand filters that consist of purifying layers of gravel and sand. Families who receive a BSF participate in the construction process and are trained and monitored to lead to consistent, long-term use.
