Over a decade ago , I decided it was time to get over my stock market phobia and I began to work with Doug English . It was one of the best decisions I have ever made ! He and the team at ACT advisors have been able to invest my money in ways that were profitable yet within my risk tolerance. They are always available for advice on “all things financial “ .. Buying a house ? Going solar ? Insurance ? Really ? Yes , really . They are there for you . Thank you Doug and ACT Advisors , you’re the best !
I retired early with a little trepidation as perhaps many people do. A friend had been singing their praises to me for years. I kept my 401K with my employer for a while but after thinking about it, I decided to talk with someone from Act. I am so glad that I did. I looked over all the material that they provided me, free of charge I might add, and was impressed with the breadth of services and attention to detail they provide. But I think what really sold me is the fact that they are a fiduciary firm. They, by their charter, must have their clients interests as the basis of all the actions they take. And the fact that how they make more money for themselves is wholly dependent on them making more money for their clients. I can wholeheartedly recommend the Act Advisers team to help with any financial situations in your life.
We have had the pleasure with working with ACT Advisors, Wes Johnson, Doug English, and their entire team for many years now. They are knowledgeable, have provided great advice in good times and bad, communicate extremely well, and are always available. We have had very good success and trust them unconditionally with our retirement and investments.

I highly recommend contacting him for your financial investments and future. Joe
I have been with Doug English for approximately 20 years and trust Doug and his other advisors completely. When my husband passed away 10 years ago, Doug helped me maneuver... read more all the obstacles that came along and I needed lots of help at that time. Doug and Wes Johnson have always been there to answer any questions I have had, no matter how trivial. I would recommend them to anyone. They really take care of their clients.
Great folks to work with. ACT team works hard, during the past year it has been a rough ride. Doug and his team have been there with information... read more and encouragement to weather the storm.
Not only do I get excellent advice; Wes Johnson really understands my goals and needs. I've always found the practice and Wes easy to reach.

Market volatility tied to geopolitical events can be unsettling. Here’s how recent developments may impact markets and why maintaining a long-term perspective matters.

In this episode of C.U. On The Show, Doug English sits down with Randy Stolp of Loan NFT and Lamont Black of Wide Open Ventures to discuss an emerging concept within the credit union movement: the tokenization of loan participations. By combining blockchain infrastructure, AI-driven analytics, and cooperative marketplace concepts, the discussion explores how technology could potentially modernize the way credit unions manage liquidity, risk, and lending capacity.

In this episode of C.U. On The Show, Doug sits down with Jed Meyer, CEO of St. Cloud Financial, to explore how a credit union can approach digital assets responsibly. Rather than focusing on hype or speculation, the discussion centers on member education, long-term strategic planning, regulatory engagement, and building infrastructure designed to preserve trust and institutional control as payment systems evolve.
We don’t believe in sales pressure or one-size-fits-all advice.
Just a thoughtful conversation about where you are, what’s ahead, and whether we’re the right partner to help.
