Doug English, CFP® | ACT Advisors
October brought movement across the markets, but relatively little net change across a range of investment risk levels. Doug English, CFP® notes that, across investment solutions, results for the month were generally about plus or minus 1%.
Bonds rallied late in the month, ending October up about 2%. The S&P 500 was down about 1% for the month, while emerging markets were down about 8%. Those differences are a reminder that markets do not move in unison—and that portfolio context matters.
As November begins, it has historically been the strongest month of midterm-election years, with an average return of about 2.5%. History is not a forecast, and we will continue to pay attention to what markets are doing now.
ACT Advisors’ stock rotation strategy remains fully invested in the technology sector. Headlines around AI and data centers have created volatility, but earnings have continued to be strong and the moving-average system continues to support remaining in the space for now.
If you expect to need cash, please contact us. Knowing when cash may be needed helps us plan for it.
November is required minimum distribution season. ACT Advisors will be reaching out to clients with required minimum distributions due to help coordinate those distributions before year-end.
Thank you for your continued trust in ACT Advisors.
