June was not a dramatic month for markets. That does not make it meaningless.
In ACT Advisors’ July 2026 market update, Doug English, CFP®, reviews a quieter stretch for both stocks and bonds and explains why a steady month still deserves attention. Markets had some ground to recover during June, and by month-end, the broad result was closer to flat than forceful.
For client portfolios, the message was similar. Across conservative, moderate, and growth-oriented allocations, June generally brought modest movement rather than a major shift in direction. In months like that, the work is less about reacting to headlines and more about staying disciplined: reviewing portfolios, understanding what changed, and keeping decisions tied to a broader plan.
That is a useful reminder. ACT’s investment work is not built around chasing every market move. It is built around an ongoing process: research, review, discussion, implementation, and adjustment when the facts warrant it.
A look inside ACT’s investment process
Doug also noted that ACT will be sharing a separate video about the firm’s investment committee process. For clients, that video is meant to provide more visibility into how portfolio decisions are reviewed and implemented behind the scenes.
The trades in client accounts are not one-off reactions. They come from a structured process that connects market research, model review, portfolio positioning, and client planning considerations. The goal is not to predict every short-term move. It is to make thoughtful decisions within a disciplined framework.
As always, thank you for your trust and your business.
